I'm getting ready to make a reloading die purchase (my first) and will be starting with my 30/30's. Redding Dies seem to come with a lot of positive comments so in looking at them, I see they sell different sets. Being a complete novice, I was rather shall we say intimidated...

Any input you boys can provide will be much appreciated! icon_beer2_gif

I branched out and just bought a Lee die set for my 30-30. They work just fine. I usually use RCBS which have also worked fine for me aswell. Have fun reloading the 'Dirty- 30'. icon_thumright.gif

RCBS is my prefered brand for dies.

I just bought 30/30 dies my self. They were just on sale at Cabelas for $27. You might check there. If you are going to load cast bullets you will need an expanding die too. I figured I would get the Lee Universal expander for around $9.

Thanks fellas. My BIL and I will probably go over to Cabellas next weekend. They opened one about 20 miles from me a year or so back but I've never been in there. I like my locally owned shop but while they do have re-loading supplies the selection is much less varied.

Get the Redding!

You need the full-length die set. Should be able to do a lot better than the price listed on the Redding web site. Price will be slightly higher than RCBS, but quality is better also.
