Well we got one ride planned out this year, we're meeting two other couples at Grand Junction Co. the 16 of May and heading all around Utah for a week. Got rooms res. for all nights, should be a blast icon_cheers.gif
Going to haul bikes down to Grand Junction as weather too risky in midmay for rideing through the Rocky's, the other 2 couples are doing the same, their coming from northern Minn. Found a place in G.J to park the outfits in. 20.00 for the week@, not bad at all for a fenced in area.
Got to get a new back tire put on the Street Glide before we head out.

That sounds good!

I don't know exactly what's in store for this summer's riding - perhaps a trip to Hells Canyon this spring - and perhaps a trip down to BL's place after the roads are warmer & drier.

The Triumph begs for the open road, but... Family and work take priority. Mostly I settle for an occasional half day or full day within a few hundred miles from home. That's fine, some mighty fine, roads to explore right here near home.

Enjoy the trip, and make sure to do us the favor of posting a few photos - they should be awesome!

Regards, Guy

We did an Arizona and Southern Utah trip in '08, had a blast! I lived in Utah from 2002 to 2005 and would move back in a heartbeat. I really miss the great riding.

This year we're planning a trip to Deadwood, but not at rally time. I did my one and only Sturgis rally in 2007.

Let me know if you need any suggestions on the Utah portion of your trip.

When I look at your pictures of Utah it make me glad we pick this spot of the world to check out icon_thumright.gif
Like I said before, everybody should do Sturgis one time and check out the zoo of people.

What month are you comeing too the Black Hills? As you know we do have some real nice roads to ride on and the landscapes not bad ether

We haven't set a firm date, just sometime this summer. We rode some of the stuff in the Black Hills, Needles Highway, Spearfish Canyon, Custer State Park, etc. But there was so much "zoo" that it was hard to enjoy the ride.

I was kind of the guide on that trip in '08, took 3 guys from Louisiana who had never seen the west except from the interstate. Lots of highlights from the trip, but Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, and Utah Hwy 12 were the top three.
