Here is my finally complete .416 done by the short red headed barrel bender. There is just something cool about a gun that will shoot 300gr bullets 2800fps into sub MOA groups. This thing is tolerable now. Kicks like the hottest .375 you can imagine but still less than a .458. It also launches 400gr partitions 2350fps into sub MOA groups. More than likely when I get started back on the Africa trip this is the rifle that is going. Chucky put a mercury recoil reducer in the stock, welded another recoil lug on the barrel like the whitworth express rifles have, and all the usual tricks. Squared action, match crowned and everthing bedded. reflex264

As I understand, all that's necessary is to neck down .458 Win mag brass to .416 dia?
