Nice! I like the way the cartridges sit at an angle.

Hey! That is a good looking rifle! Thanks for posting that pic....Can I use it on my website?

Just for the record, the slanted loops was not my idea. icon_thumright.gif I think they look good too. icon_thumright.gif

Be proud to see it on your website. The dark spots on it went away as soon as the oil dried. It looks as good as I hoped it would. Thanks, Frank

Oh....Yeah....I usually oil up the pieces before I send them and sometimes, some spots take longer to leach in than others. That is the good thing about Neatsfoot oil is it is penitrative. So it will even itself out over time.

You should not have to oil that cover up for a long time pending what kind of weather you expose it to. icon_thumright.gif

That looks good! The angle might just make it faster to reload... icon_thumright.gif

I am not sure, I have not played with it. I do know that when I reload, the rifle is pointing up most of the time and I the cartridges are angled towards me when pulling them out. The fall right into my hand. But that is at my range here on my property. I have never had to reload for additional shots while in the woods.

I would think on a single shot...You would shoot, hold on the target and load another round. So in the case, it might be faster and easier?
